A 14-year-old boy appeared in Gunnedah Local Court on January 9, in relation to an incident in Hinds Street at 4.40pm on December 26.
Police allege the boy made threats to burn a house down and was seen with a jerry can.
Police initially made attempts to locate the boy.
A small glass receptacle was located at a property and a patch of grass was burnt.
At 5pm on January 8, the boy was located in premises in Maitland Street.
A foot pursuit was initiated and the boy was apprehended a short time later.
He was charged with stalk/intimidate and armed with intent to commit indictable offence.
