Start speaking to God and know he will hear you

In the biblical gospels, there are four accounts that tell us all about the life and ministry of Jesus Christ.

When Jesus would teach and preach, He often used images to illustrate a big idea to a certain group of people in a way they could understand His message.

In Luke 15, Jesus tells three parables about a person losing something of great value to them.

He tells us a parable about a shepherd losing one of his sheep and another parable about a woman who loses a coin that holds significant value to her and another parable about a father who’s son decides to leave home.

Each of these three parables in Luke 15 are illustrations of how much God truly loves us.

The first two parables about the lost sheep and the lost coin are illustrations of how God will come after us when we get lost.

The parables tell us that the shepherd leaves 99 good sheep to find the one that got lost and that He will search high and low for one lost coin.

In the third parable about the prodigal son.

The father waits patiently for his son to return home, and when he does, the father runs to meet him and embraces him with love, compassion, grace and mercy and throws a party at his return.

No matter how much you feel lost or how many times we have walked away from Gods best for our life.

He is always so happy and excited to see you turn your life and turn your focus back to Him.

These parables also remind us that even when we don’t know we are lost, God will come after us and not just show us our way home, but will carry us home.
