A man has died after a two-vehicle crash between Wee Waa and Burren Junction.
About 7.50am on Monday, June 2, emergency services were called to the Kamilaroi Highway, about 63km west of Wee Waa, following reports of a two-vehicle crash involving a truck and a utility.
The driver of the utility – a man believed to be in his 20s – died at the scene.
He is yet to be formally identified, NSW Police advised late on Monday morning.
The driver of the truck – a 58-year-old man – was not injured and was taken to hospital for mandatory testing.
A crime scene has been established as officers attached to Oxley Police District commence an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
The Kamilaroi Highway is closed in both directions at Merah North, and motorists are advised to avoid the area.
