Residents of the Narrabri Shire can now access free and confidential mental health counselling thanks to funds raised at the 2024 WTC Charity Golf Tournament.

The service is open to children, adolescents, and adults living in the Narrabri shire.

No GP referral or mental health care plan is required.

Eligible individuals can access up to two sessions, with each session lasting up to 60 minutes.

This local initiative continues following the success of the inaugural WTC Charity Golf Day in 2023, where funds allocated to local counselling sessions were used within just 100 days.

Managing director of WTC, Will Childs said, “We know there is a clear need for local mental health services that are free and easy to access.

“The response following our first event in 2023 made it clear how valued and necessary this support is for our community.”

“That’s why we’ve directed 100 per cent of the proceeds from the 2024 event to help local people access support, close to home.”

“We would like to thank all the businesses, sponsors, and wider community who contributed to delivering these funds for our community. Without your support, this would not be possible.”
