The Nosh Food and Drink Festival returns to Narrabri in 2025 with an exciting new format and a packed weekend of culinary experiences from Friday to Sunday, August 29 to 31.

This year’s event launches on Friday night with an exclusive Q&A session featuring celebrity chef Gary Mehigan, hosted at the Tourist Hotel.

In an intimate and engaging evening, Gary will share highlights from his culinary journey, explore the importance of regional produce, and preview the weekend’s festival highlights.

The main festival day on Saturday, August 30, brings the heart of the action with the Nosh Food and Drink Festival, featuring a vibrant schedule and 39 food and drink vendors onsite.

Entry to the festival is now by gold coin donation, making it easy for everyone to join the fun.

This year’s program melds together fan-favourite events with exciting new additions, offering festival-goers a dynamic and flavour-packed experience.

Highlights include a live cooking demonstration by celebrity chef Gary Mehigan, the return of the Nosh BBQ Cook-Off – All Stars Edition, and a live cocktail-making competition with the winning cocktail to be served at The Tourist Hotel for a limited time.

The 2025 festival introduces an exciting new element: A series of five ticketed workshops hosted by festival exhibitors, offering food and drink lovers the chance to dive deeper into the craft, flavour, and skill behind some of their favourite products.

These hands-on experiences are designed to be both educational and entertaining, giving attendees the opportunity to engage directly with local experts and artisans. The workshops include a cocktail making masterclass, cupcake decorating, hop rubbing and beer tasting, and vertical wine tasting.

The weekend wraps up in style on Sunday, August 31, with the beloved Nosh Long Lunch, this year embracing an Italian theme.

Set along the scenic Narrabri riverbank, the long lunch will feature a four-course Italian-inspired menu by local favourite Katrina White of Relish Catering. Tickets are limited and expected to sell quickly.

Nosh Narrabri president Angie Jones said this year’s festival is about honouring tradition while embracing exciting new experiences.

“Nosh 2025 is all about new experiences and bringing even more life to our much-loved event,” Mrs Jones said.

“We’re blending tradition with fresh ideas, from hands-on workshops to the freedom of enjoying a drink anywhere at the festival. We can’t wait to welcome Gary Mehigan and food lovers from near and far.”

Tickets for all Nosh 2025 events and workshops will be available soon via the official website: www.noshnarrabri.com.au
