For the first time, Nosh Narrabri 2025 is introducing a series of ticketed workshops that promise to offer festival-goers a more interactive and immersive experience.

These workshops are designed to bring festival participants closer to the craft, flavour, and creativity of the local vendors and artisans, making this year’s event even more exciting.

Hosted by a range of our talented exhibitors, the workshops offer hands-on opportunities for attendees to dive deep into culinary, mixology, and beverage experiences.

Whether you’re looking to enhance your cooking skills, explore the art of cocktail creation, or discover regional brews and spirits, these sessions are set to be a highlight of the festival weekend.

Five engaging workshops will be held throughout the day as part of the Nosh Food and Drink Festival, featuring:

Hop Rubbing & Beer Tasting

Presented by New England Brewing Company, this workshop will immerse beer lovers in the process of hop rubbing and a guided tasting of their craft beers.

It’s perfect for anyone passionate about beer and keen to deepen their understanding of flavours and aromas.

Hands-On Cupcake Decorating

Join Janice Smith for a fun and interactive cupcake decorating session.

Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced baker, Janice will guide you through the art of cake decorating, teaching tips and techniques to help you create beautiful, delicious cupcakes.

Shake & Snack

This cocktail and snack pairing workshop will be hosted by Josephine’s Drinks in collaboration with chef Arnott Olssen.

Enjoy a freshly shaken margarita while you dive into the experience, then savour delicious, perfectly paired snacks — think spicy tacos, zesty salsas, and bold flavours made to be enjoyed on the spot.

It’s the ultimate mix of fun, flavour, and great company.

Sip & Stir: Australian Rum & Gin cocktail making

Learn to shake, stir, and pour like a pro in this hands-on cocktail-making workshop. Using rum and gin made by Winding Road Distillery, you’ll be guided through crafting a series of delicious drinks while you sip, mix, and enjoy the experience in a relaxed and social setting.

Topper’s Mountain – From Hailstorms to Bushfires: One Vineyard, a Decade of Wines

Experience the story of Topper’s Mountain vineyard, shaped by nature’s challenges.

Join them for a vertical wine-tasting workshop that explores how the vineyard has evolved through a decade of winemaking, offering a true taste of the region’s resilience.

Georgia Phelps, workshops coordinator for Nosh Narrabri, shared her excitement about the new addition to the festival.

“We’re thrilled to offer these hands-on workshops,” Georgia said.

“It’s all about making the festival more interactive, educational, and fun, and we can’t wait for everyone to join in.”
