It was the time to unlock all possibilities and be immersed in the event where ambition meets opportunity at the 2025 Boarding Schools Expo, held at the Narrabri Bowling Club on both Friday, July 25 into Saturday, July 26.

This two-day bi-annual event is an exciting fixture on the local calendar, with over 40 regional and metropolitan schools stretching from Queensland to NSW in attendance.

With each school were the 100 school representatives present, most staying in town for the 2-3 nights.

Director of Boarding Schools Expo Australia, Amanda Ferrari, said she always looks forward to coming to Narrabri and putting on the family fun occasion.

“All up we had approximately 228 kids come through the door, bulk of that being 45 per cent boys and girls between the ages of 7-11, and even 25 per cent being 0-6.

“It’s so great to see especially with us pushing that idea of families working on the process earlier.

“This year we faced one of the worst challenges with the makeshift venue.

“So, I would like to extend my gratitude to Ashley Kneale at The Crossing Theatre who came up with the solution.

“Without Ashley, the event would have to be cancelled.

“We would also like to give a huge thank you to Tony and Ces at the Bowling Club for being incredibly helpful, welcoming and keeping us calm during the storm – literally.

“What I would want your readers to know is that I come from a lived experience.

“I understand the feelings surrounding this decision and am determined to help families throughout the process.

“I am a country woman from Trangie, I raised three country kids who all went to boarding schools.

“Hence, I am passionate about the financial, particularly the emotional experience of sending your children off to boarding school,” she said.

Ms Ferrari has also mentioned that if there is anyone reading this who could not make it to the expo because of the weather, she is happy to have a chat. Contact 0427 888 777 or email [email protected]
