A woman died following a serious crash on the Newell Highway south of Moree last Thursday evening.
About 7.30pm, emergency services were called to the Newell Highway, following reports of a crash near Wondah Road.
Officers attached to New England Police District attended and found a truck and car had collided, with the car rolling.
The driver – a 21-year-old woman – died at the scene.
The truck driver – a 24-year-old man – was uninjured.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit in
attendance.
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
