A new committee has been formed to lead the Narrabri Show Society leading up to a milestone celebration.
In 2026, the Narrabri Show will celebrate 150 years of the event.
President Wendy McNair said the weather was pleasant for the 2025 show and thanked the committee members and various show volunteers for producing a great event.
“Our volunteers were terrific and are to be applauded.
“We just need some more to help fill the gaps,” Mrs McNair said.
Mrs McNair told the meeting the gate takings for the Saturday this year had been down, with several events clashing with the festivities.
“Thank you for being part of the 2025 show.
“We look forward to 2026,” she said.
At the recent annual general meeting held at the Tourist Hotel, Mrs McNair was elected to lead the organisation as president for the second year.
Patron Max Pringle OAM chaired the election of office bearers.
Additional officers include Rhonda Haire and Kate Rice (vice presidents), Judy Michell (secretary), Julie Shields (treasurer), and Vanessa Tomlinson, Samantha Coppin, Michelle Wheeler, Kristy Faris and Ian Schweitzer (committee members).
