Wee Waa High School farewelled its 2025 graduating class with a special formal assembly on Wednesday, September 24.

Guests were treated to heartfelt speeches by co-year 12 advisors Ms Sarah Trevaskis and Miss Olivia Bray, and relieving principal Nichole Maloy, which were full of fond, shared and special memories about the outgoing Year 12 class.

An emotional slideshow followed looking back at how much the students have grown and changed from their first day of kindergarten to their final year of school.

Incoming school captains for the remainder of the year and into 2026 were also announced – congratulations to captains Mia Kiem and Jett Palmer along with vice captains Ayisha Titimira, and Brandon Mzila Mpofu.

Graduates were then joined by staff, parents, and carers for a lovely morning tea before signing out of school for the final time.

Celebrations continued on Thursday night at the Year 12 Formal.

Mrs Penni Wallington did a wonderful job as MC of the evening, announcing each graduate and recounting her memories of the group.

Mrs Nichole Maloy wrote an amazing poem where she paid tribute to each student individually, touching on their personal traits.

Guests were treated to a special video made by Tiara Croaker where each graduate spoke about their feelings about graduating, the future, and offered advice to the incoming Year 12 class.

Graduates then shared a first dance with their parents or carers to close out the evening.
