October 15 marked the United Nation’s International Day of Rural Women. The theme for 2025 was ‘Rural Women Cultivating Good Food for All’, highlighting the essential role that rural women and girls play in the food systems of the world. Some celebrations were held, encouraging connection and collaboration. While others took a moment to pay tribute, tipping their hats to the positive impacts made by rural women – every day and in a variety of ways – to help individuals, families, economies and communities thrive.
