The new Quirindi Aquatic Centre is nearing completion, with Liverpool Plains Shire Council confirming the facility will open for the upcoming 2025/26 summer season in November.

Mayor Ken Cudmore said the facility, which has been in development for several years, is scheduled to be handed over to council once it has achieved practical completion, before welcoming the public for the first time from November 22.

“The Quirindi Aquatic Centre is one of the most significant infrastructure projects delivered by Liverpool Plains Shire Council in recent years, and this it the result of several years of planning and community consultation to designing a quality facility that will serve our region’s needs well into the future,” Cr Cudmore said. “We are incredibly grateful for the patience and support of our community as Beau Corp Projects has worked to complete this project, and we’re very proud of what we’ve been able to achieve.”

Council’s general manager Cian Middleton, said while most of the aquatic centre is completed, landscaping works will be undertaken over the coming weeks at the front of the facility to improve accessibility.
