Six people have now been charged following an investigation into the theft of multiple firearms, unregistered motorbikes and other property in the state’s central west last month.

Police commenced an investigation following reports that multiple firearms and motorbikes were stolen from a property on the Golden Highway, Uabry, about 33km east of Dunedoo, between Saturday, July 26 and Sunday, July 27.

Investigators attached to the Rural Crime Prevention Team (RCPT) established Strike Force Redhill to investigate the circumstances surrounding the break-in.

Police were told nine rifles, five unregistered motorbikes, two compound bows, power tools, knives, and hunting gear were allegedly stolen from a shed on the property.

Following inquiries, four men and a teenage boy were charged and remain before the courts.

Following further inquiries, police attended a premises in Mayne Street, Gulgong and arrested an 18-year-old woman on Tuesday, November 25.

A subsequent search of her property located two small plastic resealable bags allegedly containing prohibited drugs.

She was taken to Mudgee Police Station and charged with six offences including give another person stolen firearm (two counts), knowingly deal with the proceeds of crime, recklessly deal with the proceeds of crime, and possess prohibited drug (two counts).

The woman was refused bail to appear before Bail Division – Court 4 on Wednesday, November 26.
