A new National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) service is now available to support participants across Narrabri and surrounding communities, with My Supports officially expanding into the North West region.
My Supports will provide services throughout Narrabri, Gunnedah, Wee Waa, Collarenebri, Walgett, Lightning Ridge and nearby areas, offering local, personalised support designed to help people with disability feel confident, empowered and connected within their communities.
The expansion is led by local Neighbourhood Team Leader Kelly Smith, ensuring strong community ties and locally based support.
Although My Supports is a national provider, the organisation prides itself on delivering services with a strong local focus.
Staff live and work in the communities they support, allowing them to build meaningful relationships and respond to local needs.
The organisation offers a range of NDIS supports, including help to understand NDIS plans, support coordination, community participation support, and in-home supports and domestic assistance.
Services are tailored to each participant’s individual goals, with an emphasis on respect, choice and independence.
Founded in 2015 by people with disability and their families, My Supports brings lived experience to the forefront of its service delivery.
More than 70 per cent of its workforce has personal experience of disability, providing firsthand understanding, empathy and insight into the challenges participants face.
My Supports says its mission is to ensure everyone has access to support that makes a real difference in everyday life.
Community members interested in learning more about the services or discussing their support options are encouraged to get in touch by phoning My Supports on 1300 184 663, or Kelly Smith on 0438 849 917.
