Narrabri Shire Council meetings will run on a slightly amended schedule after elected members adopted meeting dates and a new time at the most recent ordinary meeting.
Council meetings will continue to be held on a Wednesday, however, will now start at 4pm instead of 5.30pm.
Ordinary meetings will be held on: February 25, March 18, April 15, May 20, June 17, July 15, August 19 and September 16.
The change in time was recommended to enable strategic and training workshops held on the same day.
“This is intended to promote councillor engagement by providing a single face to face day for strategic/training workshops, the public forum, and council meetings,” the meeting business paper states.
“This will also promote councillor and staff safety by reducing fatigue due to late meeting finishes.”
