The Westpac Rescue Helicopter was tasked by NSW Ambulance on an urgent inter-hospital transfer from Narrabri Hospital to John Hunter Hospital, Newcastle, at 11am, on Tuesday, January 20.

A man aged in his 50s, suffering multiple injuries from an earlier motor vehicle accident, was stabilised by hospital staff and the NSW Ambulance critical care paramedic and a NSW Health doctor from the helicopter’s critical care medical team before being airlifted to Newcastle.
