The 21st annual Courier NRL Tipping Competition and Business House Challenge is almost ready for kick off ahead of the opening round one games in Las Vegas later this month.
Some of the biggest NRL fans are in Narrabri Shire and some of them are tipsters in the 2026 Courier Readers’ Tipping Competition.
Their names were drawn from the barrel and they will go head to head each week, lodging their picks to hopefully win through to the big prize – two return air tickets to Sydney, accommodation for two nights and two tickets to the NRL grand final.
Due to popular demand, The Courier has expanded the readers’ competition to 30 participants this year.
The reader tipsters in drawn order for 2026 are: Garry Cuell, Jordan Bush, Danny Laws, Ronnie Dewar, Ross Gleeson, Brian Fogarty, Brian Smith, Corey Robinson, Michael Octigan, Kerrie Heiler, Jamie Ryan, Patrick Hubbard, David Dewar, Murray Rose, Neil Panton, Trevor Dean, Ian Schweitzer, Krista Zarka, Di Ainsworth, Mavis Edwards, Myra Joseph, Bev Newman, Michelle Harris, Kylie Browne, Bruce Hardman, Nate Browning, Bill Chiplin, Matthew Langfield, Michael Knox and Bill Prosser.
Readers are required to submit their tips by 12pm every Wednesday, with the coupon appearing in the previous week’s paper.
Alongside the Readers’ Competition, businesses will be vying for the top spot in the Business House Challenge which offers the same prize.
And Beat the Biz is running again. Readers who are not part of the Tipping Competition are invited to submit a coupon with their tips for their chance to go up against the featured business of the week to win $50 to be spent at participating stores.
The Beat the Biz contestant must tip more correct results than the business to win.
The round two coupon will be included in next week’s Courier as the first round is split across two weekends.
As the first round is a split round, tipsters will supply their picks in full.
However, they can change their tips for the following weekend’s games by advising The Courier no later than 12pm on Wednesday, March 4.
