Mavis Edwards, of Narrabri, was also recognised as a finalist.
Vince Larkin was acknowledged for more than 30 years of service to the Bellata community. He recently stepped down as president of the Bellata War Memorial Hall, where he secured grants to repair and improve the facility.
He continues as president and ranger of the Bellata Common Trust, overseeing land management, animal welfare and member coordination, and has obtained funding to improve safety at the cattle yards.
Vince is also a board member of the Bellata Golf Club.
Sharala Ramsey was recognised for her broad involvement in community organisations and practical support for local residents.
As vice president of the Bellata CWA, she helps organise luncheons for elderly residents and supports community events.
She is also a member of the Bellata Common Trust, contributing to fencing, weed control and animal care, and secured grant funding for cattle yard safety improvements.
Her work with the Bellata War Memorial Hall includes grant applications, maintenance, fundraising and event support.
Sharala also assists elderly and disabled residents in the community.
Nominee Mavis Edwards was acknowledged for her long-standing volunteer work.
Mavis has supported Narrabri Meals on Wheels for many years, volunteered at the local nursing home running activities, and assisted with the Polished Silver over-50s group.
Mavis has also contributed to 2Max FM cancer fundraising events and supported individual community members.
At last week’s presentation ceremony, mayor Darrell Tiemens congratulated the nominees on their outstanding contributions to Narrabri Shire.
In addition to the presentation of awards, guests enjoyed live entertainment by Kylie Hogan as well as a delicious lunch.
