After more than 30 years, this will be my last edition working at The Courier newspaper.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at The Courier, firstly with Wanda and Ian Dunnet at the helm and more recently Mark and Susie Slack-Smith.

I have loved meeting so many wonderful people through the paper and even had interactions with some wildlife such as lizards, snakes, and even a puggle (which is a baby echinda for those who don’t know).

I’ve done a paper run or two. People entrusting you with their stories is very humbling. The Courier newspaper is a voice for the community and keeps the people of Narrabri connected.

Each week the papers come out due to the hard work and dedication by our amazing editor, manager, journalists, designers and production staff.

I have met and worked with many people over the years, some of which have become my closest friends.

Leaving The Courier newspaper is like leaving home, it will always be a part of me. I will take so many fond memories with me.

It has been a privilege to work here for so long. We are lucky to have a local newspaper in our town, please continue to support this amazing business.

I will now spend some time with my family and then move on to my next chapter. I’m sure I will see you around!
