New councillor sworn in ahead of first meeting

Narrabri Shire’s newest councillor Mark Strahle was officially sworn in ahead of his first meeting last Wednesday.

Cr Strahle was sworn into the role in the morning with the ordinary meeting taking place later in the afternoon.

Cr Strahle was successfully elected as part of a countback election. As previously reported by The Courier, Cr Strahle said he is ready to get to work and serve his community.

“I would like to acknowledge Amanda Brown’s service and her unfortunate resignation that has given me the opportunity to join a great team of councillors,” he said.
