Narrabri remembers at Victory in the Pacific, Vietnam Veterans’ Day commemoration

NARRABRI paused to honour service and sacrifice at the annual Victory in the Pacific Day and Vietnam Veterans’ Day joint commemoration.

A service was held by the Narrabri RSL Sub-branch at the Narrabri War Memorial on Saturday morning.

Student participation again formed a key part of the commemoration, with the four Narrabri schools represented.

St Francis Xavier’s captains Stella Craig and Weston Burgmann presented an oration on the war in the Pacific.

Narrabri High School captain Judah Hamblin recited the Prayer for the Nation while Taryn Kirk delivered the Prayer of Thanksgiving.
