Celebrating 68 years of love

Charles and Annette Radford recently celebrated 68 wonderful years of marriage.

The Narrabri couple, formerly of Burren Junction, are popular community members.

They enjoyed the special milestone, receiving a beautiful, big bunch of flowers from family and phone calls from relatives and friends who are scattered across the country.

There was also a lovely celebration at Whiddon’s Jessie Hunt residence, with flowers and, of course, a delicious cake.

When asked the secret to their long and happy life together, Mr and Mrs Radford shared a simple yet meaningful answer: love and respect for each other.

Annette Radford with her grandson Chris and great-grandchildren Oscar and Hugo. Family and friends organised flowers and sent wishes from across the country to Annette and Charles Radford for their 68th wedding anniversary.

They are both valued members of the Whiddon community, with Mr Radford residing at Jessie Hunt and Mrs Radford at Whiddon’s nearby Robert Young residence.

Despite living in different homes, their devotion to one another remains as strong as ever. Mrs Radford visits Mr Radford every day, spending quality time with him and joining in activities together.

One of their favourite pastimes is singing along to beloved old classics, creating precious moments and cherished memories side by side.

Their anniversary was a beautiful reminder of the enduring power of love, companionship and commitment.
