Almost 100 nominated in 2026 Business Awards

Almost 100 businesses and community organisations have been nominated in the 2026 Narrabri and District Chamber of Commerce Business Awards.

This year’s nominees span a wide range of sectors and industries.

They will be celebrated at the dinner being held on Saturday 10 October.

Chamber president Russell Stewart has thanked the community for continuing to support the chamber’s long-running gala awards celebration by nominating businesses and community groups.

This year’s awards again created great interest, with all categories being well-supported.

“The awards night is a celebration of our business community and a great opportunity for everyone to come together, recognise the achievements of local businesses and applaud their contribution to our community,” Mr Stewart said.

Tickets are on sale at The Crossing Theatre and Mr Stewart has encouraged nominees to secure their spot before the event sells out.

The chamber’s gala dinner awards is always a capacity event.

“As always, we encourage people to get in and get their tickets now,” Mr Stewart said.

“Once the dinner sells out, it sells out.”

As recently reported by The Courier, ticket prices remain the same – $110 for chamber members and $125 for non-members.

Included in the ticket price is a three-course dinner and drinks package.

The business awards dinner is heavily subsidised thanks to generous sponsorship by local businesses and industry.

Whitehaven is the major sponsor of this year’s awards.

The chamber is looking forward to welcoming ventriloquist Darren Carr back to Narrabri due to popular demand.

He again will serve as the entertainer for the business awards celebration.

While the awards maintain the chamber’s tradition of celebrating business success in the shire community, it is also a key support of The Crossing Theatre.

The chamber, along with Mr Stewart, strive to ensure the shire venue is supported.

Mr Stewart has previously estimated that the chamber and business awards sponsors have invested hundreds of thousands of dollars in the facility since the inception of the business awards almost 20 years ago.
