The Narrabri Sporties men’s bowls Club Fours final was held on Saturday morning and it was the team of Kevin Baguley, Norman Walford, Bob Ireland and Wayne Hetherington which secured the win.

Baguley’s side defeated the team of Tony Redman, Steve Daskey, Paul Crutcher and Preston Clark 26-7 over 19 ends.

Baguley’s side started quickest, scoring three points on the first end to take a 3-nil lead.

Crutcher’s side hit back on the second end scoring one point but Baguley’s team would dominate the next six ends.

Baguley’s side accelerated by scoring 10 shots to one between the third and eighth ends.

That took the score out to 13-2 at the conclusion of the eighth end.

On the ninth end Crutcher’s team scored two points but that was not enough to halt Baguley’s side’s incredible momentum.

The eventual winners drifted away across the next three ends scoring six unanswered points to take a 19-4 lead after the 12th end.

Crutcher’s side hit back with two points on the 13th end and then the team would score their seventh and final point on the 14th end which made the score 19-7.

Baguley’s side remained in complete control, scoring seven consecutive points between the 14th and 19th ends.

That ended the match, with Baguley’s side earning a convincing 26-7 victory.
