Government responds to watersecurity concerns in Namoi catchment

The state’s water minister has responded to local councils’ concerns about potential impacts on the Namoi catchment if a pipeline linking Tamworth to Keepit or Split Rock dams were to proceed. It is one of several options being floated to improve Tamworth’s water security, but the inter-valley pipeline concept has been met with widespread concern from the communities and industries that rely on the Namoi as their primary water source. CGS Narrabri product offering on show at open day

CGS welcomed the community to explore its new product offering at a Narrabri branch open day. The Narrabri branch has expanded on its traditional services and now offers animal products and additional supplies. The new product offering is designed to make the Francis Street site a one-stop shop. Local team members showcased the extensive range of competitively priced products at the event on Friday. Dolly Parton Imagination Library trivia night fundraiser success

A trivia night fundraiser for Narrabri’s Dolly Parton Imagination Library program was a tremendous success. The Narrabri Rotaract Club dedicated its regular quiz night to the important literary cause. The Tourist Hotel beer garden was packed to the brim with trivia buffs for the evening. A round dedicated to Dolly trivia kicked off the proceedings. Almost a week following the trivia night, the global music icon’s death would result in an outpouring of tributes for the singer-songwriter who was also known for her many humanitarian causes. WWHS serves up delicious lunches at AgQuip

Wee Waa High School’s (WWHS) year 11 hospitality class recently took over the Department of Education’s Tiny Mobile Cafe at AgQuip. The Tiny Mobile Cafe is a fantastic initiative supporting Vocational Education and Training in schools. The team prepared a whopping 320 lunch packs for school students to enjoy while exploring AgQuip, showcasing their organisation, teamwork and hospitality skills.
