Narrabri has marked the end of an era following the sale of the long-established Logan & Co, operating as Furniture Court and Beds R Us in more recent years, a mainstay on Maitland Street for more than a century. Community rallies behind Piper

Wee Waa’s mighty community spirit has been on display as locals rally around the Maxwell family after Taylor and Stacey’s daughter, Piper, was diagnosed with a rare childhood cancer. Driver dies in single vehicle crash at Pilliga

A driver has died after a single-vehicle crash at Pilliga. Just after 12.20pm on Saturday 5 September, emergency services were called to Mission Lane following reports of a single-vehicle crash. “Officers attached to Oxley Police District were told a 57-year-old man was suffering serious head injuries on the road before a rolled white ute was located nearby,” information from NSW Police Media read. The man was treated by NSW paramedics before being airlifted to Tamworth Hospital, but he died at the hospital. Fatal crash on Newell Highway at Gurley

A woman has died and a man was airlifted to Tamworth Hospital following a collision between a ute and truck on the Newell Highway at Gurley on 30 August. Emergency services responded to the crash about 33km south of Moree shortly before 7pm. The driver of the ute, a man aged in his 40s, was treated by paramedics for pelvic injuries and was transported to Moree Airport.
