Merino Challenge trip offers WWHS students valuable industry insights
A group of WWHS students travelled to Dubbo recently with agriculture teacher Olivia Bray, to participate in the NSW Schools Merino Wether Challenge. The challenge saw WWHS sheep hit the mat to compete against other schools, followed by shearing and scanning to measure eye muscle area and GR tissue depth. Students also took part in a range of workshops and activities, including a careers panel, a sheep judges’ workshop, a Fletcher International Exports presentation, a Zondii Micron session and a nutrition workshop.
