Exploring future career pathways

Recently, Mr Pursche, Mr Randall and students from the Narrabri High School Clontarf Academy went for a tour of the Essential Energy depot in Narrabri. Essential Energy are currently offering apprenticeships in our local area and students were told how to apply and had their eyes opened to the potential jobs available in Essential Energy. The students were taken for a tour around the depot and shown the equipment used by line-workers, storemen and other workers. Boggabri Women’s Shed pottery day

Boggabri Women’s Shed are constantly updating and learning new skills. On Sunday, May 19, Jen Carlin conducted a pottery workshop with an eclectic herd of ‘Highland Cows’ the outcome. Considering they were all conceived on the same day there were no identical twins. Some cows had a hat, an ear tag, a nose ring, different coloured horns and coats, their tongue and or their eyes visible, they were all different.

Boggabri Multi Purpose Service volunteer appreciation morning tea

Residents at the Boggabri Multi Purpose service gathered in the activity room to thank the volunteers and share a delicious morning tea on Wednesday morning. Boggabri Multi-Purpose Service Diversional Therapist, Lynda Furner organised the high tea for her volunteers. Mrs Furner presented Noreen Boehm, Doris Donaldson and Lea Baldwin with certificates of appreciation and a small gift. Mrs Boehm volunteers each Wednesday helping with group activities as well as special one-on-one activities/visits with the residents who cannot attend or who chose not to come into the activity room for activities and events. French exchange student at Narrabri High School

This term, Narrabri High School has had the pleasure of welcoming an international visitor to its community – Josephine Pageau, a bright and enthusiastic exchange student from Dijon, France. Her five-month stay, facilitated by the Southern Cross Cultural Exchange program, is a testament to the power of cultural exchange and global learning. Josephine is staying with local host family Sally and Geoff Hunter and has already begun immersing herself in the Australian way of life.
