Surprise celebration for Chris Cunningham’s 30 years in business

C&D Electronics proprietor Chris Cunningham received an enormous surprise when she arrived at the Tourist Hotel on Saturday night to a room full of current and former staff and family and friends. The well-wishers had gathered to celebrate 30 years in business for C&D Electronics, owned and operated by Chris and Spider Cunningham. Attendees spanned various chapters of Chris’ business journey, from Tandy to Telstra to the current Leading Edge dealership.

The Inner Wheel Club of Narrabri has celebrated a year of growth during Joan Burrell-Melbourne’s year at the club’s helm. Inner Wheel members and guests celebrated the club’s success at a changeover dinner at the Tourist Hotel last Wednesday evening. Rotary Club of Narrabri members have been recognised for service through the presentation of annual awards at the changeover dinner on Saturday. President Jocellin Jansson announced the Rotarian of the Year as Julie Drake. After moving to Narrabri from Port Macquarie, Julie quickly transferred clubs and embraced the opportunity to get to know the community. She has served as secretary in the previous Rotary year and continues her role on the board with incoming president Chris Cole. Rotary Club celebrates year of success at changeover dinner

The Rotary Club of Narrabri has celebrated a year of giving back to the Narrabri community at its changeover dinner. Almost 40 Rotarians and guests attended Saturday night’s dinner at the Tourist Hotel, celebrating outgoing president Jocellin Jansson’s successful year at the club’s helm. The club’s major achievements during the past 12 months were the completion of the Dr Bob Anderson OAM memorial precinct and the Harvest Moon fundraiser for local public art and the Dolly Parton Imagination Library in the shire.
