Two adventurous Narrabri boys recently made the journey to the Northern Territory to take on the ride of a lifetime as they competed in the legendary Finke Desert Race. Thirteen local bowlers represented their club and town in style across the weekend as they guided Wee Waa Bowling Club into the quarter-finals of Bowls NSW’s 2024/25 season grade five open pennant competition state playoffs. Narrabri will once again be represented on the national rugby union stage when former junior Blue Boar Zoe Watkins travels to the Sunshine Coast to compete at the Australian Schools and Juniors Rugby Union Championships next week.
