Three Narrabri Touch teams through to grand final night

Three teams won their way through to grand final night and three more sides were eliminated when Narrabri Touch hosted the 2025 mixed season semi-finals at Hogan and Leitch Ovals on Monday night. Hammertime (A-grade), Banksia Babes and Blokes (B-grade), and Livewires (C-grade) all won their respective major semi-final fixtures to qualify for the June 23 grand finals, while Win Or Booze (A-grade), RSL Pelicans (B-grade), and Touch n Go (C-grade) lost their respective minor semi-finals to bow out of the 2025 campaign. Karl Hatfield claims third consecutive Narrabri Golf Club Men’s Open crown

Local golfer Karl Hatfield was crowned the Narrabri Golf Club’s Men’s Open champion for a third consecutive year when he prevailed by two shots in the 18-hole event on Sunday. The 33-year-old shot a two-over-par round of 73 to take out the 2025 title after he had also won the event in 2023 and 2024. Hatfield and his family relocated to Narrabri from Queensland’s Redland Bay back in 2021, where he was born and raised and had been playing golf since he was five years old. Blue Boars women score brilliant comeback victory in top-of-the-table battle

Narrabri Rugby Club’s women’s 10s team may look a lot different to the premiership-winning sides of 2023 and 2024, but they are developing the same winning reputation in 2025 after scoring a gritty top-of-the-table victory against the Tamworth Pirates on Saturday. The Blue Boars welcomed Tamworth Pirates to Dangar Park for their round five clash, with the Kookaburra Cup and the two sides’ undefeated streaks both on the line. Blue Boars return to winning ways to go top of the CNRU first grade ladder

Narrabri Rugby Club returned to the top of the Central North Rugby Union first grade ladder and also made an emphatic statement with a crushing 43-point victory at Dangar Park on Saturday. The Blue Boars welcomed Tamworth Pirates to town and prevailed 48-5 in what was their first game since they went down against Gunnedah at the same venue in round two early last month.
