Police investigate alleged stolen bicycles, Wee Waa break-in

POLICE are investigating two separate incidents in the region after bicycles believed to be stolen were seized in Narrabri and a man awoke to find an alleged intruder inside his Wee Waa home. Officers attached to Oxley Police District stopped a utility at the corner of Gibbons and Collins streets, Narrabri, about 3am on Friday. Educators celebrated across the shire

NATIONAL Out of School Hours (OOSH) Educators Day was celebrated last week, recognising their vital role in supporting children in before and after school care as well as vacation care during the school holidays. The theme this year was Valuing every OOSH educator, every day. Blue Boars are finals bound

NARRABRI Rugby Club is entering Central North’s final series after top three finishes across the first grade, reserve grade and women’s competitions. The Blue Boars marked a successful end to the preliminary season putting Tamworth to the sword in what was a blue rinse at Dangar Park. The Blue Boars women defeated the Pirates 32-22 before a dominant display in reserve grade which saw the Blue Boars victorious 35-7. Police patrols increasing, arrests made

NARRABRI Police have been increasing patrols where possible following an increase in property-related crime in the district. Support has been provided by officers from Oxley Police District and a number of items have been seized at various locations. These items are undergoing forensic analysis. Narrabri sector officer-in-charge Chief Inspector Robert Dunn acknowledged the community’s concerns with recent incidents. Chief Insp Dunn said he had been disheartened to see Narrabri subjected to property-related offences.
