Narrabri and Moree Plains Shires have partnered to prepare a regional drought resilience plan which is funded by the Federal Future Drought Fund and guided by the Department of Regional NSW.

A series of local drop-in sessions and workshops will be held across the Shire in early April.

By forward-thinking about our opportunities to mitigate, our Drought Resilience Plan can help identify the steps to minimise drought impacts and maximise our options for better outcomes. The plan will focus on the role of local government in enhancing drought resilience and your thoughts and ideas are critical.

Sessions will be held at Pilliga Community Centre (Thursday, April 4 from 1.30pm to 3.30pm), Wee Waa Bowling Club (Thursday, April from 6pm to 8pm), Blue Bird Café Boggabri (Friday, April 5 from 4pm to 6pm), Narrabri Rotary Markets (Saturday, April 6 from 8am to 1pm), Bellata Golf Club (Saturday, April 6 from 3pm to 5pm) and Narrabri Aquatic Centre multi-purpose room (Thursday, April 11 from 7.30am to 9.30am).
