Narrabri FC will compete in the FFA Cup again this year after making its debut in 2018 in what is Australia’s national club soccer tournament.
Last year the Narrabri FC men travelled to Tamworth in March for the first match in the knockout-style tournament where they went down 6-1 against Northern Inland Premier League Club North Companions.
While Narrabri FC could not progress past its first match, it still made an instant impact in the tournament.
Club vice-president and player Mathew Dunn scored a free kick from halfway in the loss, not only making history as Narrabri’s first FFA Cup goal scorer, but also making the official highlight reel for goals of the week in the tournament which was posted on the official FFA Cup Facebook page.
In 2019 Neil Brayshaw will return for his second season as the club’s coach after a successful campaign in 2018.
