Narrabri Show Society Showgirl April Squire has been selected to compete at the State finals, at the Royal Easter Show.
There were two winners at the Showgirl Zone 4 finals held in Narrabri on Saturday night, April Squire and Keeley Mooney from Tenterfield.
“I think April was in shock, I don’t think she was expecting it,” said Zone 4 Showgirl coordinator Bec Cope.
Miss Cope said 19-year-old April spoke beautifully about her hometown of Narrabri and was a strong advocate for what our community has to offer and the importance of the Narrabri Show Society.
“The selection of young ladies was phenomenal. I’m really glad that I didn’t have to judge,” said Miss Cope.
“The judges had a tough time deliberating and even had to allow for extra time.
“It was a highly contested selection.
“They are all excellent role models for their communities.”
