Narrabri bush poet Max Pringle has travelled far and wide over the past few decades reciting and performing bush poetry for audiences ranging from a handful of birthday celebrants to arena crowds at country music shows.

Whatever the size of the audience, Max’s poetry has won fans and plenty of champion’s awards.

Now he has won another – ‘The Clancy’ prize for top male poet at the Australian Bush Poetry Championships Victorian titles hosted by the ‘Man From Snowy River’ event at Corryong.

The championships drew poets to the Corryong Youth Club Hall from across Australia and even Canada.

The latest title is another in Max’s portfolio of awards which include successes in bush poetry events across eastern and northern Australia.
