More than 120 keen golfers took to the Narrabri Gold Club’s course last week to take part in the 2019 Narrabri Veteran’s Golf week festivities.
Many of those were travelling golfers who joined locals at the annual event.
Golfers played a single stableford on Monday and Tuesday, had a break on Wednesday, played another single stableford on Thursday and contested a fourball match on Friday where mostly husbands and wives partnered to play.
Narrabri tournament director Loretta Bell said that the event ran smoothly and that it was an enjoyable week.
She thanked everyone who assisted in making the week a success and made special mention to the visiting golfers.
There were 12 local golfers who won or placed in one or more events throughout the week.
