The Bunnan Polocrosse Club hosted a carnival on the weekend which was attended by players from the Narrabri Polocrosse Club and the Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club.

The two local clubs had success on the day.

The Galloping Gully Opens team, which included Clancy Knight, Kohl Weir, Dion Morris, Hayden Grumley, Emma Campbell and Shona Robbilard, won the C-grade Open division.

Knight took home best horse and rider in that division.

Two Gully sub junior players also took part in the carnival.

Fletcher and Campbell Williams played on a team called Hot Shots which included their cousin Toby Deutscher from Dunedoo.

Hot Shots finished as runners-up in the subbies division.

Gully player Gabby Sauer had run in the B-grade women’s division for Central Coast.

Narrabri Polocrosse Club’s women’s team, which included Makayla Elford, Jessie Ross, Felicity Elford, April Leggett, Taylah Martin and Grace Halsted, placed second in the A-grade women’s division.

Leggett was named the champion women’s player for the entire carnival.

The winning A-grade women’s side was the NSW under-21 team of which Felicity Elford was also a member.

Four other Narrabri Polocrosse Club players also made the journey to Bunnan.

They were Trent Mortimer, Graeme Elford, Angus Knight and Sam Gilson who teamed up with Quirindi’s Brett Holz and Peter Forsyth to compete in B-grade.
