The Narrabri Shire Council has agreed to sell a Gibbons’ Street property to Nurruby Children’s Services.

Nurruby’s managing director Prue Jamieson said the sale was great news for families around the district.

“What it means is that we have some sense of security and we can continue doing what we do.”

At a closed meeting, on March 26, councillors considered a report and resolved that, “Council sell the Council owned property of 72-74 Gibbons Street, Narrabri, to Nurruby Children’s Services Incorporated, for the price of the deposit that has currently been paid; $31,805.80.”

Council’s solicitors have now been instructed to make the necessary arrangements for completing the sale of the property.

“It means we can continue to fill the gap and provide services,” said Mrs Jamieson.
