Looking forward to the Narrabri Show and a big attendance, back, sideshow operator Justin Dale, left, with Anthony Jennings, and front, the next generation coming on, Isaac Dale, Dieanna Dale and Hunter Dale at the Super Trooper ride.

The pavilions are filling, the arena is ready, the barbecues and bar are stocked and the sideshows are set up – it’s Narrabri Show time.

Narrabri Show starts today, promising a huge line up of entertainment, activities and agricultural produce displays.

“We were determined to present a really entertaining Show, particularly in the current drought conditions” said Show president Cheryl Pawley.

The Show theme this year is ‘Kicking Up The Dust’ and an action packed agenda will see the dust raised.

Doors opened today at 9am for pavilion displays, horse events, and junior judging of agricultural produce.

The side shows will be open for business on this morning.

Tonight’s activities will centre around the area in front of the Stewards office and will see the announcement of the winner of the Narrabri Showgirl quest at 6.45.

The bar will be open for traditional Show socialising as the rodeo action gets underway in the main arena after the Showgirl announcement.

“We have record nominations for the Rodeo” said Show president Cheryl Pawley who is leading the committee for her fifth term.
