Five Galloping Gully Polocrosse Club teams competed at the Cassilis Polocrosse Club carnival that was held at Coolah last Saturday and Sunday Galloping Gully travelled to Coolah with an A/B-grade open team, an E/F-grade open side, and A/B-grade women’s team, and E-grade women’s side and an A/B-grade subbies (under-12) team.

Three of those sides were victorious as Gully claimed the subbies, F-grade open and E-grade women’s divisions.

Gully’s A-grade subbies team downed Quirindi in the final.

That Gully team included club players Fletcher Williams, Maxwell Hunter, Campbell Williams and Ella Gallagher, who teamed up with Nicko Anderson (Gulgong) and Ben Caruana (Muswellbrook).

The F-grade open Gully side defeated Maitland in the decider.

That Gully outfit was made up of Reece Lamb, Shane Lamb, Peter Meppem, Mitchell Wheaton, Scott Hamilton and Kohl Weir.

The E-grade women’s team won its final.

It included Sandra Williams, Sally Hunter, Emma Campbell, Steffi Lilliebridge, Claire Campbell, Tianne Parker and Jo Hamilton.

Several Gully players excelled individually at the carnival and were recognised for their efforts.

In the E-grade women’s division Claire Campbell won best number one, Tianne Parker was awarded best number two and Emma Campbell was named best number three.

In the subbies Campbell Williams was awarded best number one in A-grade.

Teammate Fletcher Williams won the best number three in A-grade subbies and was also named the best sub-junior at the entire carnival.
