Right, CNRU Reps: The seven Narrabri Rugby Club players who will line up for Central North Rugby Union at the NSW Country Championships this weekend – Zoe Tomlinson, Sam Kahl, Will Turner, Daniel Kahl, Jenny Fowler, Daisy Robinson and Chelsea Hancock.

Seven Narrabri Rugby Club players have been selected to represent Central North Rugby Union at the 2019 NSW Country Championships this weekend.

Some big changes this year for Central North Rugby Union include the introduction of a women’s 15s representative side.

This weekend will see a squad of 25 women travel to Tamworth for the annual championships.

Matches will be played as two 20-minute halves, and each team will play a total of four games over the weekend, with the team that wins the most games winning the comp.

There has been several training sessions over the past two months and the Narrabri Rugby Club was extremely excited that the Blue Boars women’s side had four ladies selected to travel to partake in the competition.

Zoe Tomlinson, Jenny Fowler, Daisy Robinson and Chelsea Hancock have all been selected.

Narrabri women’s sevens coach Dean Hancock was proud of the four girls who he said would rise to the challenge.

“It’s a different format for them because its a 15s tournament, Jenny Fowler I think is the only one who has played a 15s tournament before and the rest have only played sevens,” Hancock said.
