Wee Waa United hosted Narrabri FC in round 14 of the Namoi Soccer League at Cook Oval on Saturday.

The top of the table clash gave Wee Waa the chance to close the gap between the two sides to nine points.

United held its own against a strong FC outfit but was not able to capitalise on goal scoring opportunities in crucial moments.

Narrabri snuck away with a 2-0 victory but it could be argued that Wee Waa deserved a point.

Two second half goals to Blake Jarrett were enough to get the visiting team across the line.

Moree Services FC One and Moree Services FC Two played in the other Namoi Soccer League match with Moree One winning the derby 7-0.

Crossroads Eleven FC had the round 14 bye.

With another victory, Narrabri FC continued to hold top spot with a 12-point lead.

Wee Waa has dropped to third spot as Moree One was able to overtake United on the table.
