The Narrabri Touch Inc’s winter season’s finals series has ramped up with four teams qualifying for their respective grade’s grand final and earning a well-deserved week off.

Eight matches were played on Monday night with three of those needed to be decided in a drop-off extra time period.

The A-grade competition began with the winners of last week’s elimination finals facing off.

That match was fought out between Sprayerbarn Spinouts and Tradies and Ladies.

The Spinouts were able to pick up a 7-5 win and move into the preliminary final next week.

The second A-grade contest was battled between the first-placed Agies and second-placed Hammer Time after both sides had the first week of the finals series to rest.

It was Hammer Time which picked up an impressive 4-2 win in the qualifying final to move onto the grand final on Monday, September 23.

The Agies will battle the Spinouts next week for the final spot in the A-grade grand final.

The MOB and Outback Shack Tigers kicked off B-grade with an incredible 13-try drop off thriller.

The MOB got the job done winning the qualifying final 7-6 in extra time and will now progress to the grand final.

In the B-grade minor semi-final the Hounddogs secured their spot in next week’s preliminary final by defeating the Santos Emus 4-3.

The C-grade qualifying final saw the Emus progress to the grand final with a 5-2 win over The Kerrigans.

Vaughany’s Pumphouse secured a spot in next week’s preliminary final with a tight 6-5 drop off victory over the Witty Wizards.

In the qualifying final of the D-grade competition the two sides that finished on equal points at the end of the regular season battled it out for a spot in the grand final.

GGO’s made an emphatic statement to the rest of the competition, scoring a thunderous 7-2 victory over Coobienarah.

The D-grade competition elimination final saw Don’t touch me defeated by Dingle Dangles in a 5-4 drop off spectacular.

Dingle Dangles will now play Coobienarah in Monday’s preliminary final.

In the first A-grade final played on Monday night the Sprayerbarn Spinouts defeated the Tradies and Ladies 7-6.

Jydon Hill opened the night with a staggering four tries for the Spinouts.

Hill’s teammates Tori Allison, Nick Anderson and Shannon Rily all chipped in with a try each.

Tradies and Ladies’ Daniel Nixon scored a double, Jake Rumsby, Jye Smith and Natalia Smith scored a single try each.

In the A-grade qualifying final Hammer Time picked up a 4-2 win over the Agies.

Hamish Duncan, Georgie Hancock, Thomas Nolan and Auley O’Shea scored Hammer Time’s four tries.

Agies’ Domonic Cruickshank and Tyanna Gaydon scored a try each.

In the first of three drop off matches, The MOB earned a tough 7-6 win against Outback Shack Tigers.

Lachlan Trindall was the hero for The MOB after he completed his hattrick in the drop off period.

Teammates Clifford Toomey scored a double, Corey Dixon scored a single try and Tashanny Clark chipped in with a try.

Tigers’ Nathan Trindall scored a hattrick, Connor Hill scored two tries and Dylan Segundo crossed for one try.

In the second B-grade final it was again just one try separating the two sides.

Hounddogs earned a 4-3 victory to eliminate the Santos Emus from the competition.

Ryan McFetridge scored a crucial hat-trick for the Hounddogs and teammate Corey Gold added to the tally with a single try.

Santos Emus’ Chase Magner, Abby McClure and Jessie Schwager all scored a try each.

In the C-grade qualifying final Emus defeated The Kerrigans 5-2.

The Emus earned a grand final spot thanks to Holly Ford, who scored a double, and single tries scored by Bailey Ballangarry, Maddison Russell and Christopher Swaddle.

The Kerrigans’ two tries were scored by Michael Haire and Kenneth Nolan.

In the C-grade elimination final Vaughany’s Pumphouse scored an incredible 6-5 drop off victory over the Witty Wizards.

Jonty Fowler was the Pumphouse’s saviour scoring four tries and winning the match in the drop off period for his side.

Miles Campbell and Heidi Campbell also contributed with a try each.

Witty Wizards’ Daniel Jobson scored a double and his teammates Jamie Charlton, Brock Gordon and Nigel Hobday each scored one try.

In the D-grade qualifying final the GGOS scored an impressive 7-2 win over Coobienarah.

GGOs’ six individual scorers were Dylan Williams, who notched up two tries, Alex Hall, Cody Shepherdson, Jason Smith, Cassidy Staines and Emma Young.

Adam Hatton and Tianna Parker scored Cobbienarah’s two tries.

In the final D-grade contest of the night Dingle Dangles earned a 5-4 win in drop off extra time over Don’t touch me.

Rebecca Francis scored a hattrick to help her side win in the drop off period.

Francis’ teammates Kalab McMillan and Emily Ward chipped in with a try each.

Don’t Touch Me’s Kieran Jobson scored a double with Ashton Smith and Jack Smith contributing with a try each.
