IT’S been an action-packed month for the Narrabri Netball Association, as reported last week – the under-12s team was crowned champions after the representative team made history by winning Division 4 at the Junior State Titles in Sydney.

It was the first time a Narrabri team had secured a podium finish in the association’s history and in this week’s edition, we share more photos of the talented team on court.

“What an unforgettable moment for these girls, their coaches, families, and our whole netball community,” said Narrabri Netball.

“Together, these results, including our fabulous top 10 finishes by the 13s and 14s, make this our most successful state titles campaign in Narrabri Netball’s history – an achievement that will be remembered for years to come.

Tabitha Shearer.

“Congratulations to all of our players, coaches, managers, umpires, families, and supporters.”

Team coach Hannah Hall couldn’t be more excited for her small but mighty team.

She said: “The Narrabri 12s team has made me and our community incredibly proud, not just Narrabri but also Wee Waa, as many of this team are Wee Waa girls as well as myself and Bernadette (Melton) our manager.

“The girls showed outstanding grit, determination and teamwork throughout the three days of Junior State Titles, losing just two of their 20 games by the narrowest of margins.

Laycey Maxwell.

“They played with confidence, won many of their games convincingly, and never gave up, no matter the challenge.

“This is one of the most dedicated, respectful and resilient teams I have ever had the privilege to coach.

“I couldn’t be prouder of what this group has achieved.”
