The inaugural Narrabri Truck Show on Saturday brought together 63 trucks, many truck operators and their family members from across the region and many interested spectators.

The Truck Show, organised by Narrabri Chamber of Commerce’s Gillian Goddard and Narrabri-based transport operator Allan Anderson, was a major success.

The assembly of trucks represented many millions of dollars in transport equipment and countless years of experience among the drivers and owners, young and veteran, who work in the industry.

The scale of the Truck Show emphasised just how important the transport industry is to the economy of the region.

The fraternity of the transport industry – the shared concerns of family businesses, regulations, road conditions and safety – and the shared enthusiasm among operators for their industry was clear to the many who admired the ‘big rigs’ and chatted to their owners.
