Western Imperial Razorbacks and Tatts were winners in round four of the 2019-20 Narrabri District Cricket Association second grade season.

The Razorbacks travelled to Narrabri to take on Crossroads at Gately Field on Saturday and got the job done in style with a 10-wicket win.

Crossroads batted first and made 87 runs before losing its final wicket in the 30th over.

Nathan Hamblin and Shane Robinson then opened the batting for the Wee Waa-based side and neither was dismissed as they put on an 89-run partnership to guide their side to the huge win.

Hamblin smashed eight fours and a six on his way to an unbeaten 48, and at the other end Robinson finished with an unbeaten 31 which included four fours and a six.

Before Hamblin’s heroics with the bat he impressed with the ball as he helped his side restrict Crossroads to the low total of 87. He took 2-8 from six overs, which included a maiden.

Razorbacks’ best with the ball was Mark Rottger (3-15 from 2.4 overs).

At Hogan Oval Tatts secured a 12-run win against RSL.

Opener Guy Gleeson top scored with 27 while teammates Ryan Steel (24), Ashley Watt (23), Dylan Segundo (19) and Bill Wood (10) also reached double figures.

RSL’s best with the ball was Blake Jarrett with 4-29 from 8.2 overs.

RSL’s Craig O’Connor scored a game-best 72 for the chasing side but none of his teammates reached double figures as RSL fell 13 runs short of victory.
