Wayne Grove farewelled by colleagues

After an impressive career at Australia Post Wayne Grove was farewelled on Saturday November 2 at the Narrabri Sporties.

The former postal manager’s retirement was celebrated by 30 family, friends and work colleagues who had all supported him throughout his time at Australia Post.

The celebration opened with a couple of games of barefoot bowls and despite many of the players never rolling on the green, there was a
competitive edge to the matches.

The barefoot bowls was followed by a social drink before the party was served an alternate-drop meal by head chef James Bennett.

After the meal Mr Grove said what a pleasure it was to see everybody there, that it was a chapter closed and it was the perfect time to move on.

The newly appointed postal manager Mandy Foxe spoke highly of Mr Grove saying she would not have been where she is today without him.
