I have just read the council response to my question about the Balonne Street tree removal (The Courier, Thursday, November 21) .
I can assure you that the particular tree was in quite healthy condition.
I have nearly 1000 acres of stressed trees and that one wasn’t.
If the council wants to remove stressed trees take a drive along Jacks Creek Road and Oakdale Lane.
Ninety per cent of the trees are dead and in such precarious position that I fear one will fall on a vehicle trying to traverse the rutted potholed, corrugated track.
I invite the expert tree people to inspect for themselves – then they will see stressed trees.
