Wee Waa High School’s class of 2019 kicked up their heels at their year 12 formal evening on Saturday November 16.

“It went really well and they all scrubbed up very well too,” said the year group’s coordinator and teacher Stephen Druce.

“Everyone had a really fun time.”

Students posed for photos at the Rose Street Gardens before the formal event at the Wee Waa Bowling Club.

“It was a good opportunity for the students to let their hair down after a stressful period of exams,” said Mr Druce.

WWHS principal Annabel Doust and Stephen Druce both made speeches as well as 2019 school captains Harry Pattison and Emily Shearin.

And year 12 student Lachlan Trindall had the honour of cutting the cake.

Mr Druce said the speeches by the students was the highlight of the evening where they expressed their thanks and appreciation to the school community.

“They’re definitely a great year group and it was good to catch up with them all.”
